4th of July at the St. Joseph County, Indiana 4-H Fair!

Even into adulthood, one of my favorite events of summer time is the yearly pilgrimage to the 4-H fair. While, as a young person growing up in Baltimore, MD, I attended the Maryland State Fair and spent most of my time and baby sitting money at the Midway, today I go to oogle over the animals.  I have, literally, thousands of pics of every variety of chicken known to man, pigs in various states of uninhibited glory, horses naying and galloping and whinnying, birds, ducks, bunny rabits, turkeys, goats, and cows of all shapes, sizes and colors.

I also happen to believe that the food carts are works of pure American art in a class all there own.  Each year I am struck by the unique design and the bold colors and unmatched details. They are a magnificent bombardment on one's senses which makes them all the more intriguing.

Here are a few of the highlight's of this year's spectacular trip through the fair!
