Obligatory 4th of July Cheeseburger

I guess it has become obvious over the past couple of days that I allowed myself to completely surrender to the many culinary temptations that are synonomous with the 4th of July.  Cheesesteak sandwiches, nachos, and now the ubiquitous cheeseburger, with American cheese (would not it be a travesty to use any other on that day), ketchup, mustard and a thick slice of Vidalia onion .  It was devine!

It must be back to business now, however. Starting tonight (I'm getting ready to fix dinner now) I will adhere to a more healthy diet full of fresh summer ingredients for the rest of the season... or at least until I have another hankering for one of those juicy all American cheeseburgers.

Oh, and a hearty CONGRATULATIONS to the The Coupon Posse for winning the $40.00 gift certificate sponsored by CSN.com!   Thanks to everyone who entered, I appreciate all of the new followers as well!!
